The reading is free, the teaching is paid
These terms cover courses only. They do not apply to anything else on this site, because nothing else is sold: the research, standards, adoption and learning pages are free to read, with no fee and no ads.
What is free and what is paid
Free, permanently: every page on knowledgesidekick.org, including the notes on open specifications and the ones on proprietary platforms. Paid: enrolment in a course, which buys a seat, materials and the instructor's time. The same subject matter appears in both — the course is the guided version, not the complete version. The free pages are meant to be enough to work from if you would rather not pay for guidance.
Where payment and refunds are handled
All money-related matters sit on the business side, knowledgesidekick.com. Prices, applicable taxes, invoicing, the delivery schedule and the refund terms are stated there for each course before you pay. This site takes no payments, holds no payment details and offers no checkout.
The licence on course material
Course materials are licensed to the person who bought them, for their own work and study, and may be applied commercially. They may not be redistributed, resold or republished, and may not be used to deliver competing training. This is narrower than the pages on this site, which you are free to read, quote with attribution, and use in your own work.
If something goes wrong
Course administration — access, schedules, invoices, and anything about a payment — is handled on the .com side. For anything about the free material on this site, including a correction you think a page needs, use the contact page.
FAQ
Courses, and only courses. Every page on knowledgesidekick.org is free to read. Nothing on this site is gated, and buying a course does not unlock anything here that is not already open.
On the .com side, per course, at the point of enrolment. Prices, taxes, invoicing and refund terms are set there because that is where the transaction and the legal terms live.
A personal, non-transferable licence to use the material for your own work and study. You may apply what you learn commercially. You may not redistribute, resell or republish the material, or use it to deliver competing training.
